and then to Basilique du Sacre-Coeur in Montmartre,
This is a church on top of a really tall hill ~ you can see most of Paris.

Saint Pierre de Montmartre (church across from Basilique du Sacre Couer)

Village Square ~ Montmartre

Metro Station - Montmartre

Eglise Saint-Jean-de-Montmartre

Subway at Montmartre
Place des Vosages
Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris - officially inaugurated in 1612 as the 'Place Royale'. In 1800 Napoleon changed the name of the square from 'Place Royale' to 'Place des Vosges' to show his gratitude towards the Vosges department, the first department in France to pay taxes.
Also visited Place de la Bastille (Bastille Square) - the location of the notorious Bastille stronghold, which was stormed on July 14, 1789, triggering the start of the French Revolution.
We had dinner and then headed home, changed and went to Montmartre again to see the cabaret at Moulin Rouge. It was really fun – people were seated at tables and each table was served a bottle of Champagne as we watched the show.

The show was over at about 01:30 and by then the Metro was closed. So we had a real adventure getting home. We got onto a bus which dropped us at Montparnasse, and we were walking there in the middle of the night like 02:30 not knowing where we really were. Finally found bus # 12 which dropped us at Saint Michel station closer to home. It took us about 10 minutes and we got home around 03:30.
