Fete du Chocolat au Vieux Cannet (Choc fest in old village)

This is the second Chocolat fest that we happened to go to. Can you think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon? We sure can't. Anyway here are some photos of the Choc fest held at the old village, Le Cannet, just north up the hill from Cannes.

This painting is a metaphor of love symbolized by newlyweds taking off above the Garden of Eden inspired by the city of Cannet.Raymond PEYNET, honorary citizen The City of Cannet, painted this work in honor of the newlyweds that he wanted to offer a poetic stage in their wedding trips.

St. Catherine of Alexandria church

Walking back to our car, we notice this aquaduc. There is no way to access this as the area here is residential and all fenced. We found one that was not and we climbed down and walked along the canal.

Doors of France that we have seen so far!

Yes, we have this craze about taking photos of doors! This is a selection of our "door" photos which include mostly doors of medieval residences, churches, office buildings, and an occasional garage....... It is the detail and the character that makes each unique. Hope you enjoy ~ some were difficult to photograph as they are in real narrow streets (need a wide angle camera lens to get the perfect photo).

This happens to be "Gates of Hell" at the Rodin Museum in Paris. Enlarge photo to see details.
